In my opinion TD stopped being cutting edge mid 80's. Nowadays Autechre is cutting edge. The next big thing is probably the combination of "classical music" and electronic (dance) music, symphonies and piano concertos with drum 'n' bass loops etc.

I recently bought "So". It's my first Peter Gabriel album. I have never liked "Sledgehammer" but "In Your Eyes" is a masterpiece in it's genre.

Yes that is a good pick, I dont mind the flute but as I have said before sometimes I could live without those sax solos. When TD start sounding like Kenny G I find it hard to take. Yes, flute sounds great in TD music but not saxophone. TD is not jazz. I have been warned to keep away from 90's TD be...

how can you be lesser.....you enjoy the music, that's all that matters :D Well, I have been a TD for half of a year now. Some people here have been fans for four decades! Yes, I am enjoying the music. Perhaps I just should openly tell what TD means to me? Older TD takes me back to the 70's as I rem...

I'm not very active here because I feel I am so much lesser to others when it comes to TD knowledge. I don't even understand most of the topics.

Last album I bought was JEANNE D'ARC. It's good but I wish Linda Spa had played more flute and less saxophone.

Hi Guys, This is NO distortion but a special sound! It should be associated to 'cannon storms'....Ok, maybe it was too abstract for some people.... Regards, EINSTEIN'S BARBER (ADMIN)[/color] Oh, it's all done on purpose? That's a relief! I'll wait for the disc to arrive and let you guys know what I...

So, I finally bought and heard Phaedra. Rubycon was a bit disappointing to me and I didn't expect Phaedra to blow me away. I have to say Phaedra is even more "primitive" (but experimental) than Rubycon. It is clearly the first step of creating a new sound. To me Ricochet is the first reall...
