Track times on Quantum Key

I have a bit of a mystery. I recently downloaded Quantum Key from this site and I'm a bit confused. The times on each track are stated as follows: Genesis of Precious Thoughts 9:14 Electron Bonfire 5:05 Drowning In Universes 11:07 Mirage of Reality 7:25 When I actually PLAY these songs, the running ...

YES, YES! Proud fan since 1986; almost 30 years of dreaming!

I was born and raised in New Orleans and had the priviliege to see TD live in 1988 for the Optical Race tour!

Re: PREVIEW ON SOUNDCLOUD - "QUANTUM GATE" album by TD

I hold no ill-will toward anyone and try my best to ACKNOWLEDGE opinions that are different than mine. I don't have to AGREE or even RESPECT those opinions if that is my choice, but I do have to ACKOWLEDGE them. As for Hipgnosis' posts, I do agree that negativity seems to be at the forefront. If you...

Re: Baumann has left TD

Sad news. When I first heard that Baumann was returning, I nearly wept. I knew at that point the legacy would live on. I am in no way taking away anything from the talents and capabilities of the remaining members. It's just that having an element from TDs strongest creative period (in my opinion) r...

"I DREAM OF WIRES"

I recently watched a documentary on Netfix called "I Dream of Wires" which chronicles the inception, birth and history of the synthesizer and electronic music. What a TRAVESTY! Absolutely ZERO mention of "the greats" such as TANGERINE DREAM, JEAN-MICHEL JARRE, VANGELIS, KRAFTWERK...

Re: Dieter Moebius (1944 -2015)

I have been a TD fan for nearly 30 years. Edgar's passing was a grievous loss to many of us as well as myself personally. Even though Edgar is not at this cosmic address anymore, I will still listen to whatever the band continues to offer for as long as they continue to offer it. I am free to like o...

Re: Dieter Moebius (1944 -2015)

:? TD is definitely not over as far as I am concerned and am really looking forward to the new release(s). It is sad you feel that way but it is of course your choice. There is still a lot of electronic music out there but it will always appeal to a smaller number of people than your usual 'chart' ...

Re: EDGAR'S BIRTHDAY 06th JUNE - IN MEMORY...

I thought of you much this weekend, Edgar. I never met you, but I feel as though I am missing a dear friend or relative. The world, or at least MY world, is not the same without you. Your music defined who I was ever since I was 16 years old. It was almost as if Tangerine Dream were composing the so...

Re: Mota Atma

Well, it's very good, but it's kinda repetitive for the most part. It's like the first 5 or 6 tracks are the same one with minimal variations of it, then tracks 8 and 9 are also on the same vein. Not a bad approach at all, but I had to be in the most patient mood to listen to the whole thing. The o...

Re: On no more gigs.

I was fifteen at my first TD gig. 1980, Apollo Victoria. I went the day before to check the route. I can still picture kit being loaded off a truck into the stage door. EF was there I can see him. Not sure about the other members. It had never occurred to me to take a personal interest in the band ...

Re: Worst TD tracks

I found that "Lily" lacked any "warm-sounding" lows. It was all highs and treble; Pretty much how I feel about Optical Race . Apart from "The Midnight Trail," the bass sounds lack punch, like they're overwhelmed by all the highs and mids. The entire album has a very &q...

Re: Worst TD tracks

I give up.

Apparently the forum does not like the word "H O T".

When you type the word in, it comes out as "cold" automatically.

A ghost in the machine, perhaps?

Edgar, is that you?

Re: Worst TD tracks

In regards to the "Lily" songs I listed above, the song title I wrote keeps reading "Too cold for My Chinchilla".

I kept editing my post, but each time I did, the word cold appeared instead of cold.

Very odd.

Re: Worst TD tracks

For me, the Melrose years are sort of a roller coaster ride. In my opinion, "Optical Race" was the high point. I found it to be a refreshing turning point in TD's musical style and found the album warm and electrifying. "Mothers Of Rain" continues to be one of my all-time favorit...
