Last night I watched Lars von Trier's "Manderlay", a really disturbing epic about slavery in the American south. Stellar perfomance from new star Bryce Dallas Howard, who took over the role of Grace from Nicole Kidman (who played in Dogville, the first part of von Trier's planned "Ame...

It has to be "Epsilon" for me too. I have both the Virgin LP (with the beautiful gatefold sleeve) and the Eastgate re-recording on CD. Although I prefer the original, I think this is the best of EF's re-recordings of his solo material.

For me it will always be "Encore" because:

1. It was my first ever TD recording

2. It contains one of my all time favourite tracks, which is of course "Desert Dream" (side 4 of the double LP-set 8)

In memory of the late Robert Altman - one of my all time favourite directors - I have been watching many of his films lately, including: M*A*S*H Short Cuts (one of my Top 10 movies of all time) Gosford Park and his latest masterpiece A Prairie Home Companion with a brilliant cast including Meryl Str...

Just started reading Cormac McCarthy's latest novel "The Road". Very dark stuff, but I love his writing all the same. For new readers I would recommend starting with his "Border"-trilogy, which consists of the 3 novels "All the pretty horses", "The crossing" a...

Re: TD where would you like them to play ....?

[quote="Mephistopheles"] With a few more Norwegian gigs, that would be a nice little tour, (apart from the bit with the livingroom... unless you have really big one). I wish TD would visit some places they have never visited before, like Scandinavia... which just happens to be my location....
