Re: The News About Edgar

Just had to add my sincere condolences to Bianca, Jerome, all the band members, past & present and to all at Eastgate. To say I was devastated at the news of Edgar's passing would be an understatement. I, like many of the fans, discovered TD in the mid-70's, with the Virgin release of Phaedra, a...

Re: Shephers Bush Empire - Friday 23rd May

:D So glad I made the (considerable) effort to get to the show. Great concert, and it was also really good to do a bit of "Queue-bonding" before we managed to gain entry. By the way, with regard to the chat I had with the guy from (I think) Derby; great to meet you, and please persevere wi...

I thought I was dreaming when I spotted this; a 10-CD set for £13.99!!!??? OK so it's a compilation of compilations (probably of other compilations) but hey, it still constitutes great value for money, and a great set to keep in the car,
Cheers,

Dante trilogy - Purgatorio

So there's really an orchestra on Paradiso?? Yes. Paradiso was the first one I bought and I figured the other two have orchestras too. Just purchased Inferno and realized there is no orchestra. I have yet to buy Purgatorio (waiting for a good deal). I like very much the orchestral sounds on Paradis...

I love the whole Dante series, but Purgatorio is by far my favourite. I was lucky enough to be at the Royal Festival Hall to witness the premiere of the entire set, so I guess that gives it a slight bias, as for me that evening was one of the most memorable concert experiences ever. I was a bit disa...

:? Don't get to see many films these days, although did see Pirates of the Caribbean 2 at the local 'flea-pit' - I quite enjoyed it, so looking forward to POTC 3! On DVD - 1/ 2001: A Space Odyssey - this got its quarterly airing - it's my favorite film of all-time, so it is aired about every three m...

:D Good to see this forum's back! - 'bout time!!! I must admit, my expectation of 'Paradiso' was immense, after witnessing 'Purgatorio' at RFH, and playing the album constantly at the expense of other music (it still ranks up there as one of my all-time favorites!!). I wasn't able to get to Berlin t...
