Re: Anyone else still waiting for the book?
It has finally landed in southern Louisiana (New Orleans area). I have skimmed through the pages and read the preface and first chapter. WOW. I can see where Edgar's escapades at Dali's home in Spain was the real catalyst for the beginning of his artistic outlook and future endeavors. As an avid rea...

Re: Then there's this EB? TD @ UK Butlins December 2017?
Agreed, guys. This used to be my go-to place for all things TD, but it seems The Zest on Facebook has taken over that role. Since this is the "official" TD website, one would expect this to be abuzz with news, postings, media files, etc. Even the forum, which I used to enjoy tremendously, ...

Re: Stranger Things
The show is quite good. It is a mixture, if you will, of films such as E.T., Goonies, and Steven King's "The Stand" and is told (mainly) through the eyes of a group of early-teen children who live in a rural town where bizarre occurrences begin to happen that affect, not only the kids, but...

Re: New releases Live in Szczecin CD / Starmus Festival DVD
What a pity that the OFFICIAL Tangerine Dream website does NOT contain the latest info on the band, releases, concerts, etc.
Very sad.

Stranger Things
Forgive me if this has been discussed elsewhere, but there is a Netflix original series in the US (not sure about other regions) that has been scored by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein (of the group S U R V I V E). The music sounds almost EXACTLY like the Froese, Franke, Schmoelling era of TD. The show...

Re: TD - LIVE 2016 - VIDEO + PIX NOW AVAILABLE
Bravo!
I started to tear up when I saw the Stratosfear-type visual appear, but then I lost it when Edgar's face appeared with light streaming through his hair.
I really miss him.
Thank you to ALL who help the Dream continue on.

Re: PETER BAUMANN - MACHINES OF DESIRE
I recently purchased MOD about a month ago and gave it a listen or two and, sadly, I am not impressed. It's certainly something DIFFERENT, but I feel it is inferior to most of Peter's previous releases (with the exception of maybe REPEAT, REPEAT.....truly awful). I was expecting more melody, more FE...

Re: Counterpoint records
I had no plans to buy. I have sincere doubts about the sound quality. My main reason for the comment is, how can TD let this go on? This is a BLATANT violation of why the Tree and Leaves series were ever "released" in the first place; on a not-for-profit basis. Obviously, Counterpoint Reco...

Been seeing "CDs" for sale by these guys on eBay.
They seem to be CDRs of Tangerine Tree, Tangerine Leaves, and other various "bootlegs" and fan-made compilations.
Thoughts on this?

The state of things
Wow. This forum and the site in genral has become extremely quiet. One would think there would be SOME news worthy of posting with the upcoming release of QUANTUM GATE. What has the band been up to? Can we get regular status updates? How do they feel continuing on the TD legacy? And, most importantl...

Re: QUANTUM KEY ep
In MY OPINION, Quantum Key ebbs and flows with Edgar's spirit. From time to time, I hear shades of "Poland" and "Phaedra" in some of these tracks, but I never took it as the band's attempt to re-capture or re-live "the good ol' days". I find QK to be a breath of fresh a...

Re: EDGAR - ONE YEAR UNDER NEW COSMIC ADDRESS....
It is hard to believe that it's been a year since Edgar's passing. The world lost an incredible artist and visionary. Not only a musician, Edgar was a painter, writer, philosopher, and much more. His passing has affected me tremendously and I still mourn him to this day. TD's music has always been p...

Re: QUANTUM KEY ep
I know I am a little behind on this one, but due to PC and iPad issues, I have just recently been able to give Quantum Key a serious listen. AMAZING. I think Edgar would have been proud. Thorsten, Ulrich and Hoshiko do an amazing job of keeping Edgar's artistry and spirit alive. I was MOVED so much ...

Re: Track times on Quantum Key
Mystery solved. Sorry to alarm anyone. Apparently my iPad has a ghost in the machine. The tracks DID repeat several times which explains the long running times. That's what I get for "casually" listening. I corrected the album from my iPad and re-synced it with my laptop and that solved th...
