Re: Edgar and TD - the Force Majeure autobiography
I've ordered the book 27 January 2014 and received it two days ago though with 3 track EP. Should I think that this was a mistake or there were 500 buyers already by that date? Actually included paper invoice stated the wrong order date as 21 February 2014. I'm trying to contact them now and find ou...

Re: Worst TD tracks
I don't listen to first 4 albums, some tries were enough. I rarely listen to 1974-1979. My favorite period of TD is 1980-1999, except for Turn of the Tides and Tyranny of Beauty, which are of less interest. Albums that I listen often and like in whole are those three of Private Years and Rockoon. To...

Re: QUANTUM KEY ep
That part in Genesis of Precious Thoughts at 5:10-5:40 reminds of Poland transitions between parts. The most prominent thing for me that they got rid of Edgar's plastic vocal samples and same presets that were used again and again for many years on many releases. Now this sounds like a modern Berlin...

Re: NEW EDGAR FROESE TRIBUTE ALBUM
If it truly is a "tribute", then give it away for free. Or at the very least, donate 100% of the proceeds to a music school and absorb all the costs yourselves. I mean, it's a "tribute", correct? Not a way to make quick money off of someone else? Agree with this. If this project...

Re: NEW EDGAR FROESE TRIBUTE ALBUM
TD was supposed to sign to Jenkins' AMP Records in the mid 90s. For some reason, it never happened. Actually it happened. At the time, when TD didn't have a proper label (1992-1995) they were giving albums to many labels at once around the world. This is true for Rockoon, Turn of the Tides and Tyra...

Re: NEW EDGAR FROESE TRIBUTE ALBUM RELEASED
ant , there should be an adequate dose of pessimism and cynicism. Things may have different interpretation. I think that I can get this album for collection later. This is just music, most likely fine, I like works of Mark Jenkins. I just noticed that a similar discussion is going in the parallel t...

Re: NEW EDGAR FROESE TRIBUTE ALBUM RELEASED
Actually the TheXFactor told aloud my own thoughts. This is first that I thought. The release looks disrespectful to Edgar. They used his words as a title and tried (unsuccessfully) to parody on the track names and even made a replica of Stuntman cover. Not enough time passed to make such tributes a...

Re: Comments from Edgar's friends and colleagues
Ron Boots - deep words, nearly poetry. Dean De Benedictis - bravo, a real cry of soul! Underline many statements. Jean Michel Jarre - glad he paid the tribute. Jarre is my hero and he is still being well, hope to hear much more of his music, besides endless remasters. I was just interested about tha...

Re: What do you think / wish: is this the end of TD?
I agree with last message. I think that Tangerine Dream should continue and Jerome should take place of his father. Finish the most of the material that was in works and then keep growing the TD discography. Tangerine Dream is a concept that can continue even without Edgar Froese, but by his path. A...
