One huge issue about rights is that many artists sell all the rights early on in their careers, only to have it come back and bite them years later. We are seeing this happen with more and more frequency as nothing is sacred as far as advertising or branding is concerned. Then there are those who ca...

The danger of this type of thing using the current VSTs and drum loops is that they date very easily. The original recordings don't because they were more organic, unique sounds produced on custom built hardware that nobody could afford. The digital age is a double edged sword. It gives us a chance...

we need a t-shirt with this written on! :) Reading some news the other day, I came across an article from Paul Shaffer no less, trumpeting the virtues of vynyl. For years the masses turned their backs on Lp's, now it seems, that because you can make a buck from the collectors and the technology all...

Even I know you can't lure Germans with Canadian beer 8) But it's woth a try. Oh I'd definitely try Canadian beer, it's just that Edgar said he went teetotal regarding meat & alcohol shortly after the '77 US tour ... LOL, ya, well, I kinda went "teetotal" after the Pink Floyd Animals ...

TD in Canada is what is really needed. So ummm, if your actually in the US, don't forget, WE have better beer. Hmm... if you wanna lure Ed into Canada with beverages, try organic carrot & beetroot juice ... Hmmm, I am sure some of my hippy friends can hook him up, I must have strayed som...

TD in Canada is what is really needed. So ummm, if your actually in the US, don't forget, WE have better beer. I seem to remember that the Canadians gave the band an amazing reception during their 1992 tour...even the band were taken a back by it A lot of people except of course members of the band...

I say about a week, was ten or eleven days to be exact, but counting weekends, thats still pretty good. What was really the most surprising is that Customs did not hold the itme up, and the package came un-opened. Generally, anything we get that passes through the US since 9/11 either sits in wareh...

re-releases have their place.

Generally speaking, I am (was) totally against record execs, artists etc. "re-releasing" stuff as it seems like what it is, an economical decision. However that said, I recently lost all my music, all, 40 years of collecting LP's, CD's. Well, over 6000 original albums and about 2500 CD's i...

Maybe I am old fashioned, but I like my music in its original form. I mean, I admit to being self serving, if its musc I don't particularly care for, I don't care what they do to it. But, when it is MY music from MY era, I have lots to say about it. Guess the on-set of hip-hop and American style rap...
