Re: Tangerine Dream Live in Barcelona 1980

Wow, loving the version of Diamond Duster after the backing tape fails. :D It's been a great year for "new" TD material from the early 80s.

Re: Pilots of Purple Twilight: The Virgin Recordings 1980 –

Somebody on the Steve Hoffman forums has said that The Keep is from the masters for the cancelled 1984 soundtrack. The "missing" tracks from the TDI release were never part of the soundtrack. Interesting. Shame about the missing Eno/Blake covers though.

Re: Pilots of Purple Twilight: The Virgin Recordings 1980 –

Great to see The Soldier and the full version of the Dominion show in the set. Not so great to see another incomplete version of the Keep. There are no new track titles, making it a safe bet that neither the music from the start nor end of the film is included. Most likely a rights issue I guess. Wh...

Streethawk. Nothing else comes close.

For me it would have to be original recordings or nothing.

Alternatively, what about Tyger without vocals? Heck, I'd settle for just London without all that "little fly" nonsense.

Logostypes is a bootleg, but it's not a studio rehearsal. Compare it with TT61: Berlin ICC '82 and you will find the same recording (in a better remastered form). The reason there's no audience sounds, is because it's from a soundboard recording. So with TT61, Logostypes is obsolete. Quoting from t...

Re: Logostypes

does anyone on here know of the origins of the cd entitled Logostypes~Polygon Studio 1982? The cover is a picture of CF's studio simular to the pic on the inside of his Pacific Coast Highway album and the rear cover is of EF,CF and JS. The music is one long piece containing themes from Logos, The K...

At least The Soldier kept interest throughout by being unintentionally hilarious. -- Dave My favourite scene is the one with the kung-fu fighting. It's straight out of The Pink Panther. Hilarious. :D Lol. I had to watch that again to remind myself of the "quality". Great scene. I love the...

Fave: Streethawk (un-Tangentised release please :)) Worst: Deadly Care It'd be great to hear some more of TD's unreleased soundtracks - Streethawk, The Soldier, Rainbow Drive, Red Heat, etc. Lots of decent material, albeit wrapped around rather terrible films. Talking of terrible films, I must finis...

I remember Jarre saying he would never feel the need to re-visit Oxygene. He then made a sequel and 10 years after that re-recorded...er...Oxygene. Heh. :) But did JMJ really re-record Oxygene? I can't tell any difference between the "new" recording and the previous Dreyfuss remaster, apa...

That's very nice! The melody is a variation on the closing section of Logos Part 2 if I'm not mistaken.
