It wasn't as immediately gripping for me as "Purgatorio" was but it's definitely been a real grower, especially the 2nd disc. That's been my experience with Paradiso. It's not as immediate as Purgatorio and it's taken me a while to really get into it. Mind you that is quite often the case...

If vocals are the "new" direction TD is taking, I'll bid goodbye to them right now. I avoided the whole Dante trilogy as, 1] I hate opera and 2] I don't care for vocals in EM. Like someone mentioned in another thread, maybe everyone's warming to the idea of vocals. If somebody had said th...

Given Metaphor a few spins now and rate it very highly. The first three tracks are stunning, some great new sounds and ideas. Add this to the track that's at the start of the Tempodrom DVD and it shows that TD are in good shape. Not so keen on the fourth track but one out of four ain't a bad strike ...

John Peel was not too keen on Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, which incidently was the bridge I crossed into the World of TD after seeing their 1st US tour in 1971 with Yes in Detroit Wasn't it ELP that caused the cancellation of TD's 1977 American tour? Got a feeling that ELP's tour with an orchestra i...

Didn't TD say that Michael Mann wanted to mix their music, so TD said 'off you go'! and several days later Michael hand to admit he couldn't do it and asked the band to finish it? On a personal not I've never liked Mann's stuff, it's all surface with little emotional content I thought Thief was a s...

Just been getting an ear-full of this and been enjoying it immensely. All the tracks are pretty darned good but my favourites are the contributions from TQ (no I'm not going to try and spell his name out) and Johannes. TQ's take on Logos (Velvet Part) is just awesome and Johannes's piano on Pergamon...

Actually whilst I'm here I ought to say something about the SBE show since I had the good fortune of being there. ...errr what more can I say that everybody else hasn't already said. It was one helluva night. Lots of great surprises and lots of good humour. Anyone else remember Edgar's theatr...

Watched this from end to end yesterday and really loved it. I haven't listened to the CD for a while so I'd forgotten how good the music is, especially the last third where it really takes off. The visuals are stunning and the bonus material very interesting. I don't know, you wait around for thirty...

Got my copy on Christmas Day but wasn't allowed to play it until Boxing Day. You can imagine the frustration. When I did finally get to watch it I wasn't feeling too good, the boys had obviously brought a cold home from school, so I had to watch the DVD from my bed. I have to say that my mood improv...

Being a total EM heretic I've got to be honest and say I'm not fussed how TD produce their music, as long as they are still producing it, I really don't care. I've kinda noticed over the years that the number of large boxes on stage with TD have slowly been decreasing but it's never effected my enjo...

Brilliant in principle. However, if alcohol is involved, I would probably miss the gig! Well the idea was to do either 'or' both...ie a fan meeting, Q&A session (light hearted...not po-faced :D), perhaps I'd bring along a few kilos of articles, a chat, some beers...and some other stuff. ...

Cheers mate, yep it's going to be interesting to see 'whatever' TD release on DVD, it's even more interesting to see that the Madcap CD comes with a 'making of/ behind the scenes' DVD :) 'Tis a good time to be a TD fan. So much on offer and a wider range of goods as well. It will be interesting to ...
