Can't say anything about the quality I'm afraid because I was born with tin ears but I was really pleased to be able to listen to the full version of Barbakane at last as my only experience of Poland has been via the single CD release. Even more pleasing were the sleeve notes from one "Andy Kin...

An interesting album from the late 70s/early 80s is Suzanne Ciani's Seven Waves. It's a bit more new agey than TD but the primary reason for its interest for me is that its the only album I've come across that predominantly uses the Buchla Analog Synthesiser rather than the traditional Moog and EMS ...

:) Thanks guys for your responses. As I suspected, it looks like the same as the one I have already got so I will not be buying it again. It is good to have as a memory of the airing at the time but unfortunately, as with most music things in the 70's, completely spoilt by silly add-ons over the pi...

Zeit and Logos

I've always been struck by the connection between the titles of the first three tracks on Zeit. They all refer to beginnings ("Birth", "Dawn". "Origins") and all refer to something ethereal or fluid ("Liquid", "Nebulous", "Supernatural"). C...

I can remember this being on TV (17 at the time and thrilled by Rubycon) The bitter taste in my mouth still remains as I recall the rest of the family trooping in after 30 seconds and demanding that we watch Fawlty Towers on the other side. No videos or V+ boxes in those days! Thankfully I bou...

Past my bedtime too but I checked on BBC I-Player. It was Movements of a Visionary which wa intended to "help you drift up to 1 o'clock" according to host Verity Sharp.

Well, that's Alan Niester off my Christmas list. I don't think he got it, did he? As for the "rich kiddies" I guess that demonstrates the amount of research that went into that review. Nuff said.

I've got to agree with NOL that this is an awesome concert. I suspect that if I was allowed one visit in a time machine to a TD concert this would be the one. Having found TD via Rubycon in 1976 ( a friend's dad bought it for him because he thought the cover was nice!) the RAH concert is just so evo...

For reasons best known to myself I was up at 5:30 this morning and when I'd finished doing what had woken me at that unearthly hour I (of course!) checked in on the forum to find ... The Forum! Nice way to finish an hour's yawning work at the computer. So back to bed with it downloading to have anot...

Hello - first post at last after a year's lurking! Just as Andy intimated earlier OR is a distinct cutoff point for me with TD's development. Some of it I love - it was hearing Marakesh for the first time that made me want to buy the album but I find some of the other material too light for my taste...
