A very nice cupdisc from Edgar. Best tracks are Synth Affection, Lord Nelson and Peddington at Five. I also love the "orchestral" version of Ca Va -- Ca Marche with the plucking of the strings. (By the way, what does "Ca Va, Ca Marche, Ca Ira Encore" translate to in English?) By ...

Watched "Near Dark" on Sunday morning. It was one of the free On Demand movies through my cable TV service. Not that bad, but not great either. Good music, too, of course (though I don't recall hearing "Caleb's Blues"). I might give it another viewing before it becomes unavailable.

Thanks for the info, EB. Not to be impatient or anything, but by any chance does Edgar have a target date in mind for completion of the Winter in Hiroshima disc? I understand that such a date is not carved in stone by any means and delays are inevitable, but it's sometimes nice to know roughly when ...

if the soundtrack is something we don't have, i'll buy everything. :D You said it, Hansx. I would love to have all of the unreleased TD soundtracks available -- the Soldier, Strange Behavior, The Keep, all of it. As for buying anything with the Tangerine Dream name, the beauty supply store where my...

Glass is a phenomenal composer/musician. I, too, love Koyaanisqatsi and its sequels. Other very good Glass works: The Canyon (on the Itaipu album), 1000 Airplanes on the Roof and the soundtrack to Mishima. All very worthy additions to one's music collections, if you are a Glass fan.

My sympathies to you and your family. We had to have our cat Shadow put down about two weeks ago. It was kind of hard on our oldest child, because Shadow has always been regarded as "her" cat for most of her life (she's now 22, and the cat was almost 16 when she died). Case in point: If I ...

My wife and I saw that Swedish vampire movie "Let the Right One In" this past weekend. Very interesting and entertaining. I enjoyed the gradual buildup of the friendship between the picked-on boy and the girl vampire. And the swimming pool scene near the end was absolutely chilling. I hear...
