During a moment of boredom I tried to find some information on PB as in 'here-and-now'. He doesn't show up anywhere after references to the Private Music sell-off. I would have thought an entrepreneur/business director like him would crop up several times on the web. I guess he either takes his priv...

as I have another key moment to end it...well....it's probably 'the' key moment in their whole career...but I'll leave that for the blog post. Talking of which several sources for NEW info have come to light, but it's tricky to get what I need from them and some things I will need to delay (sorry t...

there's nothing superior about my research or knowledge mate Compared to mine it is. Didn't even know KS played gigs for TD in the early seventies. I'd love to read an expansion of this information. Best of luck in the digging. Voices in the Dunes is a well read item in my bookcase too (signed hard...

Recording dates? - that's good enough for me. I bow to your superior knowledge and research. Green Desert? - Doesn't fit in my opinion. Musical approach also doesn't seem to match any of the concerts of that year. Still suspect it could have been a clever marketing ploy. A tiny splash of old tapes w...

I was suggested by someone that when Jive released the 'In the Beginning' box set with the 'missing' Green Desert album that they altered the recording dates of the first four albums (pushing them a bit further back) to make it look more plausible that Green Desert actually existed but was never rel...

Hmmm I'm not sure WHO Kevin O'Neill is ... A stunning, critically aclaimed UK synthesist who was growing in reputation during the 80s and 90s . . . . and then he suddenly disappeared. His compositions were raw and experimental yet moving and accessible, without an ounce of fat or bling. Amazing seq...

Rest in Peace
I was shocked to hear of Richard Burmer's passing last year. There seems to be a growing list of losses in the EM/German rock world. Richard Burmer Michael Garrison Dave Ward-Hunt (of Wavestar) Florian Fricke (Popol Vuh) Emil Hatchfield Also heard that one of the Fuhrs and Frohling guys had died in ...

Who's he going to call?
I invite you to consider this imaginary scenario . . . 'All the current members and guests have amicably left the band but won't be coming back due to other commitments. All previous members and guests are unavailable, but EF doesn't want to go it alone. So he puts an ad in the press asking for int...

Chris Franke is indeed a very good composer. Its not the stuff I usually reach for but his compositions display excellent craftmanship IMO (even many of his soundtrack compositions). I think the direction he took after 1993 (soundtracks and just soundtracks) was a great shock to everybody, but I can...
