Re: Franke's 'Big Moog': On the case, armed with a trident

Any ideas?
Obviously it is some kind of wireless transmitter, enabling Chris to wander about the stage freely. Um, hang on...

I always thought it was a wry sort of joke - implying "THIS is the new classical chamber music!"

Weirdly, it's easier for me to choose the track than the album:

Creation (from Sorcerer). Even though it lacks many of the TD classic trademarks, I can't get enough of it.

Album? Poland maybe, even though I have to skip Rare Bird. Encore it is then...for the next day or so at least :)

An amazing album, made better by the memories of being there. It was my first sit-down gig (for musicians as well as audience) and through my juvenile bewilderment I remember: the interminable wait for them to start, only for the "thank you for being patient" announcement to make me think...

of course there have been rumours that at least part of Logos was-n't even recorded at the Dominion...but at a gig in Germany having studied carefully, my LP and CD against the various trees and leaves, I once again point to a famous saying : ' all rumours have basis in fact ' :P  The evidenc...

for latter day Tang music it may be useful to start with Jeanne d'Arc...IMHO the route in to modern TD which ushered in the era we have now, which is for me, more interesting than the TD period in the 90s  Thanks for the tip, I was so devoted until after Underwater Sunlight (or maybe The Par...

I listened to this last night for the first time in a long while - not a duff moment in there, and it brings back such great memories of the Dominion concert: Mojave Plan was where the whole gig got rockin' (of course we hadn't heard Logos at the time so it seemed a fairly subdued start) and White E...

On another musical forum I would be condemned as a "Look-Back Bore" as I've never liked anything they've recorded since 1986 (was that when Chris Franke left?), but luckily there is so much richness up until then I have never got sick of them. Maybe someone who does like recent material w...

Re: The KEEP

Whats the story on the CD soundtrack "The KEEP" TDI that was being sold at the London show? Is this a special edition release? The version for sale this last weekend is the second release from TDI. The first, from 1997, is much rarer, but the second was originally released as part of the ...

If I recall right, this was a bit of a 'stop-gap' album at the time, short tracks and suchlike being confusing to the TD fan raised on side-long freakouts. But now it is one of my absolute favourites, 'Creation' in particular having lots of lovely spaces in the mix, which TD often (or usually) make ...
