Re: Movies

Rewatching 1984 with John Hurt and Richard Burton cracking interpretation. Soundtrack from Eurythmics sounds a bit dated but works well.

Cheers - letting it out helps! Not played Supernormal yet, going to make that a special occasion. Maybe on my birthday. :|

Bloody hell! You're not wrong! I think mine was from a previous version of the website but all the same it's good advice - keep changing your passwords, it's a pain in the arse but being hacked can be a lot worse.

On no more gigs.

I was fifteen at my first TD gig. 1980, Apollo Victoria. I went the day before to check the route. I can still picture kit being loaded off a truck into the stage door. EF was there I can see him. Not sure about the other members. It had never occurred to me to take a personal interest in the band m...

Re: NEW EDGAR FROESE TRIBUTE ALBUM RELEASED

Hello,

listening to the taster you certainly do have skill at pastiche and that's not easy to pull off. But for me anyway, this feels like going on a date with someone who looks like my wife when she's only recently been buried. Obviously others will feel differently. Good luck anyway

Re: What do you think / wish: is this the end of TD?

since I copy-and-pasted Jeromes Statement here, I feel a bit responsible for possible misinterpretations. I think the text reads quite different when you see it in his "original Environment" on his own FB page, meant as a Response to several requests and enquiries he obviously received. F...

Re: NEW EDGAR FROESE TRIBUTE ALBUM

Mixed feelings really. I can understand a musician wanting to express grief with their craft but it does look like self-promotion and is tasteless if done too soon. I'll have a listen I suppose but to be honest if it's a pastiche of released EF what's the point - I'll listen to EF - and if it's not ...

Don't know what to make of this to be honest - time will tell. But for now I can only think of the loss.

Re: Views From A Red Train

Hm, is then Views From a Red Train also now a Sonic Poem? :-) Could be it was kind of a test run? Who knows... I haven't read the book yet, maybe there are more TD easter eggs in there. Holy Zarquon's Singing Fish! Good find! I read this at school waaay back, quite a powerful book at that age. But ...

Re: Worst TD tracks

Hear! Hear!

"worst" doomed from the start. Yes, we all have preferences and tracks we don't enjoy - I HATE Cinnamon Road.

Worst is objective while we can only all be subjective.

So perhaps a better subject would have been "What tracks do you not like?" and then so what.
