Tangerine Dream

The best thing about these re-releases is the fact that it's possible to dig through TD CDs in record shops again and to find a lot of music which you could only purchase via the internet until now. I'm a sort of old-fashioned music freak: Going to the store, searching for CDs of your favourite band...

Wow, there really is something happening here.
There are some albums I missed the first time they had been released, I'm curious about the new titles too.

This raffle really is fun! But I still fight with two sound clips. I know I heard them somewhere, but I can't remember where.

Yes! Booster Vol. 2 arrived in cologne, too, complete with a new postcard with TD in western outfits! I didn't listen to the new compilation yet, but I will later this evening. Thank you TD, and a big thank you to the staff at Eastgate. You people do a marvellous job!

Indeed I listen to all eras of TD music on a regular basis. Yesterday I put on "Phaedra" for instance. And a few days ago I just had to listen to "Lily On The Beach". The new albums are simply fantastic and the years from 2005 until today may rank as my all time favourites. But e...

Believe me, "Booster" collects some of TD's best moments from 2005 to 2007 including all 2007 EP tracks. You won't be disappointed!

I'd send a selection of compositions (for example 4 of each decade): 70's: Ultima Thule Pt.1+2, Rubycon Pt.1, Stratosfear, Force Majeure 80's: Logos Pt.1, White Eagle, Song Of The Whale Pt.1+2, Tyger 90's: Three Bikes In The Sky, Catwalk, Flashflood, Astrophobia 00's: La Solitude De L'Espoir, 11:02 ...

For me it's "Views From A Red Train". I love this album as it includes so many fantastic compositions. But "Autumn In Hiroshima" is a very close second!

"Fallen Angels" is another fantastic "minicup" of music. "Angel In Barbed Wire Robe" is my favourite, it's a funny little piece of music! My only critizism: It's much too short, the solo in the middle should have been at least 10 minutes long. I could listen to this pie...

Finally I also got to listen to AIH today ... several times. Another fantastic release indeed. This part of the "Atomic Seasons" is much calmer overall than the first two parts. But as this album describes H.T.'s emotional and religious transformation durng his stay in the monastry the mus...

Too bad! My copy arrived yesterday and nobody was at home to welcome it! Now I'll have to wait until saturday, the only day I have the time to pay a visit to the post office.

I voted for "White Eagle". This is my favourite album by TD in the early 80's. Normally I'd hesitate to vote for a re-recording of an album I love, but with Edgar's fabulous reworks of "Tangram" and "Hyperborea" I'd love to hear a new version of this!

I like this new release although it's not as good as the other EPs and cupdiscs of the last 12 months.

But I have one question: What's the difference between a minicupdisc and an EP?

Thorsten's contributions are simply wonderful. "Babylon" is one of TD's best tracks in their recent marvellous output. And "Purple Diluvial" didn't grab me immediately either, but after several listens I simply love it. Edgar's compositions could be best described as travel music...
