On October 30, a 10CD box will be released that concentrates on the remaining Virgin years from 1980-1983.

Great to see The Soldier and the full version of the Dominion show in the set.

Not so great to see another incomplete version of the Keep. There are no new track titles, making it a safe bet that neither the music from the start nor end of the film is included. Most likely a rights issue I guess. What I wouldn't give for a release of the extended version of Walking on Air. These tracks from the TDI release are also missing: Sign in the Dark, Weird Village, Love and Destiny. On the plus side, all tracks are marked as "previously unreleased", giving some hope of them being the unadulterated, original recordings.

Somebody on the Steve Hoffman forums has said that The Keep is from the masters for the cancelled 1984 soundtrack. The "missing" tracks from the TDI release were never part of the soundtrack. Interesting. Shame about the missing Eno/Blake covers though.

Another great looking package which I have ordered. I can already imagine someone working on the 84 - 87 Jive Electro years. And I will buy that as well !

Nice collection of photos in the accompanying booklet. Question re "Network 23" from 'Exit': on both of my previous copies of the CD - Virgin's original release in the 1980s and then the so-called "remastered" version from 1995 - at around 1 minute 12 seconds, the stereo sound stage narrows, the left channel fades and it all goes a bit "lo-fi" for a couple of seconds. Is this regarded as a fault? If so, it's sadly still present on this new box set.

Having listened to everything on this impressive collection, the highlight for me is the true live performance from the Dominion. I have always loved Logos, and did not really know that it was yet another studio/live mash up, and the true live set is outstanding. The Keep is also excellent. The other CD's in the collection generally have excellent sound quality. Also, another interesting book/essay to go with the set. I really hope that another set of the Jive years will be released, as there is great music to be heard from 84 to 88.
