I'd say the sound mix of the dvd's and Paradiso, EF's contributions on Blue Dawn, the complete Pinnacles 2005, and TD Plays TD.

Just a few then JP
All other things have been sublime. I just love that Tangerine Dream band. :-)

I'd really like to discover them again, like I did six years ago.

Yeah, I have read many comments about the crappy sound on TD DVDs. Sound samples of Paradiso sound weird (and less enjoyable) new age opera. I believe one of the tracks of Booster is from Blue Dawn. Good to know to stay away from TD plays TD. :?

Blimey jacob! Have to say I really like Blue Dawn and TD plays TD :?

I see you have Paradiso as 8/10 on your blog, I have yet to delve into this series of recordings but may do so very soon.

Don't worry, you like what you like. With Blue Dawn I only like Ralph's tracks, and Paradiso could have scored higher with a decent mix. TD plays TD is quite superfluous and polished imho.

I like Edgars tracks on Blue Dawn a lot and they can be regarded as wonderful contrast to the other pieces - sometimes Ralph's tracks sound a bit too "sweet" to me....sorry.
So it must be the interesting mixture on Blue Dawn which makes this album very attractive. Besides I like the idea that Edgar collaborates with others or ex-members from time to time, a great chance for them to call attention to their projects (as concerning Ralph we didn't hear from him a single tone for decades...).
Concerning DVD sound it's a bit bold and global to claim that it's not good at all as most of TD's DVD's are of very good sound quality in my opinion. Especially the last DVDs
like The Epsilon Journey or Alte Oper or Tempodrome even London Astoria - I like the sound quality and I know what I'm talking about because I played them very often. I think, 71 db, you have to convince yourself.

By the way before 2006 we had only a few DVDs by TD - God thanks that they now produce a lot more for us and within a relatively short period of time. I'm very happy about it as I can't go to every concert they perform and getting a DVD in the end is a fantastic alternative.
Just a few days and I will enjoy the Loreley DVD - by the way a concert I could attend! 8)

Today my father ordered paradiso for me as a reward for helping him out in a problem. :D

The thing is I don't have any TD DVDs, unfortunately. If the newer ones are decent I could try one of them but at the moment I am busy trying to get AIH, PD and VFART.
