I like Edgars tracks on Blue Dawn a lot and they can be regarded as wonderful contrast to the other pieces - sometimes Ralph's tracks sound a bit too "sweet" to me....sorry.
So it must be the interesting mixture on Blue Dawn which makes this album very attractive. Besides I like the idea that Edgar collaborates with others or ex-members from time to time, a great chance for them to call attention to their projects (as concerning Ralph we didn't hear from him a single tone for decades...).
Concerning DVD sound it's a bit bold and global to claim that it's not good at all as most of TD's DVD's are of very good sound quality in my opinion. Especially the last DVDs
like The Epsilon Journey or Alte Oper or Tempodrome even London Astoria - I like the sound quality and I know what I'm talking about because I played them very often. I think, 71 db, you have to convince yourself.
By the way before 2006 we had only a few DVDs by TD - God thanks that they now produce a lot more for us and within a relatively short period of time. I'm very happy about it as I can't go to every concert they perform and getting a DVD in the end is a fantastic alternative.
Just a few days and I will enjoy the Loreley DVD - by the way a concert I could attend!
