MFD, but that is because it is a vocal album. As a TD album, I think Tyger is better.

I think Shy People counts a vocal album, as much as Cyclone does.

Voted MFD, obviously. :)

I think they're all as good or as bad as all of TD's albums...but my vote still goes to MFD, as I like it more than the others ;) :D

I have not heard the Dante albums, wasn`t keen on Tyger or Cyclone so its MFD for me. Not only the best TD vocal album but one of their best albums ever ......and thats from someone who hated it at first

I voted for Cyclone, I really it. In interviews, Edgar always tells stories about what a sh*te experience that time around 1978 was, but without them really noticing it, they produced a fine album which stands the test of time. I liked Cyclone around 1981 when I first heard it (after Alpha Centauri and Rubycon), and I still think it's great.

I like Tyger too, including all the mispronounced words. ;) And William Blake's poetry was a discovery for me. Thanks Edgar for pointing me in that direction!

MFD is not bad musically and I like the vocal sound of Chris Hausl's voice. BUT he somehow "blurs" the English words he sings, so it's often very hard for me to make out what he actually sings, which I find very annoying. The PDF on TD's website with the texts and poems used for MFD doesn't help very much here, because it's not the word-for-word lyrics being sung. So that spoils MFD for me a bit.

Dante Trilogy: I don't like it. Acoustic torture, all of it (sorry TD!).

actually, i think it pointless to extract the 'vocal' albums away from the main td canon, as in reality the 'vocal' music is not 'vocal' as we understand it.....merely, it is poetry, and thats a whole other world
