Not one of my favourites OR , granted sun Gate is quite a beautiful piece, but the overall sound of this release to me is very sterile, maybe too digital.

This is what a forum is about Stein , if it was all positive comments it would be a pretty dull place.

Maybe I should put this on the player and give it another go.

Of course I know that, Tim  maybe I'm just a bit too sensitive about hurting other fans taste/preferences :?:

It's not that I think that OR is a BAD album, but when I consider TD's total output I would have to put it quite a bit down on the list...all IMHO of course.....

We are on the same 'wavelength' here - I have the same reason, when put along side other TD releases it just doesn't have that 'special' feel to it , not as a complete CD that is ! :)

Oh no definately not for ''That '' reason - as weve experienced of late , it matters not who's in TD to get quality music , it just helps (Immensly) that the same guy is at the helm. 8)

Yep, I prefer that version. It sounds more "live" and not quite so sterile. As already pointed out there's some great music on OR but it's sound, for me, is just a little too clean.

That's how I felt about it's release back in 1989 (?).
