What got you into TD?

For me it was Alan "Fluff" Freeman's Saturday rock show in 76. He played Invisible Limits and I kept thinking "The lyrics'll start in a while". And they didn't. It was the most serene piece of rock music I'd heard and it blew WYWH away (WYWH was a favourite at the time). Early in the morning of the next Saturday I headed into town and bought Stratosfear.

For me it was 1977 in the Hi Fi dept in the basement of Army & Navy store in Victoria Street London. They were playing Rubycon....... I'd never heard anything like it......still haven't in fact!

Eighteen years ago a friend recorded a cassette for me with some various artists. One of them was TD with a song called Crystal Curfew (from the album Lily on the beach). I got hooked instantly and played it again and again. That was my first exposure to Tangerine Dream's wonderful world of music.
