LOART 08 is wonderfull after a lot of listens I almost like it more than the original although not quite. I still thank Edgar for a great new version though.
This EP was responsible for a great TD moment this year - I'd downloaded it to my phone and listened to the remake of Love on a Real Train for the first time on the metro heading back to Brum from Wolverhampton on a very misty Saturday evening - really atmospheric and a true goosebump moment even if it didn't quite match up to Tom Cruise's sneaky s**g on the New York Metro!
I love the title for the EP; clearly 2 reworkings and a sax led track are not every TD fans cup(disc) of tea, so it's your "Choice" to purchase or not!
As far as my views on the music LOART & Scrapyard are 2 quite sensitive updates that don't really add that much to the originals apart from a more modern sheen, but the less said about Sally's Garden the better!
In Edinburgh my wife couldn't believe it when they played Sally's Garden and was really chuffed when she discovered it was on Choice. Personally I think it's a lovely wee tune and TD/Linda Spa's version does a really old song justice.
