If one or the other project announced turns into something else or will be postponed for some time -
this can simply be seen under 'artistic freedom'.
Edgar and Co. are no machines, but depend on human mood, inspiration and special atmospheres.
Everybody knows that these prerequisites can't be given without cease - this is the power of "Force Majeure" we all are subject to.
I think no one should mourn, this won't be really fair.
My personal opinion.
You've got to feel sorry for TD. Whatever they do it's never enough.

...and we've had so much already. I consider anything more to be a bonus.

Although not technically a band, but Bill Nelson could be one of them. And Conrad Schnitzler most definitely.

.... but EB makes a good point: we are spoilt rotten with current releases, even within the history of TD. I can remember 1985 being a bumper crop, what with all the soundtracks I kept discovering each time I went to HMV....

yes indeed, we heard more that a lot of releases were coming. :(
As far as I know we are still waiting on some 2008 releases.

Hello hansx,

Don't be unfair! Just tell me of one band producing more albums, DVDs and EPs than TD in a year?

It wasn't meant to be unfriendly. Ofcourse there aren't many groups with so many releases. In times of crises it is even to much. But as far as \i remember there were some releases announced which we didn't see in 2007/2008. Don't ask for titles, I am bad in those things.
And I am very satisfied with the total production. :D

Merzbow: 14 new works vs. TD's 10 :P

But yeah, if there are fans that should be complaining about paucity of releases, TD's fans aren't them.

Merzbow (that little I have bothered to sample) is mindless uncreative noise whereas TD is great inspired music.
