:D Just ordered mine this morning and can't wait. Sounds like a very interesting series of albums and am very excited about it, probably more so than about Madcap!! Do we know who is performing on these albums. Is it just Edgar and Thorsten or is Jerome involved too?? :)

I must say that I like the instrumental tracks on Metaphor and hope that this new series from TD follows that format in sound and tone, but I am rather disenchanted with the vocals. They're not bad, just not my cup o' tea. But I agree with some earlier posts about TD's return to the long-track format. I am giddy with anticipation. I just hope I can get the Nagasaki discs via snail mail here in the States, perhaps from Ricochet Dream. Call me a Luddite, but I still don't quite trust the Internet with my credit cards.

How limited is this release actually going to be ?

Good question, might be hundreds (like the Keep), or it could be a 1000. Mind you the music itself should be the main selling point. I don't buy CDs to just look at the limited edition number ;)

In November 2006 TD got the offer from a Japanese Business Manager, who turned 82 last year, to compose and record the so-called 'Five Atomic Seasons'.
Is it just me? I don't have that warm, fuzzy feeling in my tummy
when I hear an 82 year old commissions TD music.
I'm not ageist...I cannot fully understand the imperative from a business man.
Perhaps it shouldn't have been released.

Is this really from the heart or contrived?
PS. I haven't read any other forums, I've just read this story in that last 10 minutes

Got to be honest,i cant really see what TD could get out of contriving this.
Im sure if Edgar and the band realeased this as their own personal tribute to the Japanese people they would have said..
Im sure as has been said this is a request from this individual person for TD to compose music for this project, and it is said EF is very interested in Japanese culture  of course this is partly earsay on my behalf and IMHO
RIP Edgar. I am going to miss you.
