Tangines Scales

Post by Jon »

This is disc 9 of the Electronic Journey 10-CD set.

It's a collection of mostly 80s material, and I had most of this stuff before, except the cool Southend Mix of House Of The Rising Sun. Those other "mixes" sounded rather similar to the originals for me anyway.

The 8 minute Horizon excerpt is a highlight, where Franke's sequencers and Schmoelling's soaring melodies work great together. I think I have to play the Poland 2CD more often.

For me this is one of the best discs in the set.
Storm Seekers, Story Of The Brave and Sungate is three of my favourite TD tracks!

Yes, those are good tracks. Story Of The Brave always reminded me of Sylvester Levay's stuff. I guess you have seen this Sun Gate clip:

add the track that mixes in cool shibuya and i'd say the same. the way that starts is one of the coolest things they've done

I thought I was dreaming when I spotted this; a 10-CD set for £13.99!!!??? OK so it's a compilation of compilations (probably of other compilations) but hey, it still constitutes great value for money, and a great set to keep in the car,
Cheers,

Hello

I very much like Horizon.

The link you put says it is a remix.

Is it very much different?

Thankyou. :)

I really don't know. I doubt it's very different at all.
