Not necessarily "no chance of a live CD" - I always assumed that the mix heard at at live show could be tinkered with afterwards if it's recorded on a multitrack ? or is this wrong ?

guess you are correct. They can correct the noise where ever needed.
Hope they do, and release it.

"Darkness Veiling The Night" is an amazing piece. It sounds to me like it would not be at all out of place in the soundtrack of a movie based on a Neil Gaiman story.
