april fool's trick: Live at the Victoria Palace Theatre 1974

Post by Cyclone »

It was only an april fool's trick, unfortunately:

... it seems out of the blue a dream come true:

Latest bit of news from Vrigin Records:

Image

"Release of Tangerine Dream's first U.K. concert will become a reality!

Yes, it’s true, this is no rumour. It’s not a question of whether or not -
Vrigin Records will release Tangerine Dream's legendary first U.K. concert
at the Victoria Palace Theatre London in June 1974, recorded by the
Virgin mobile recording truck. The 2 CD digipak, accompanied by a
16 page full colour booklet will really make Tangerine Dream fans happy.
The album will be simply entitled “Live at the Victoria Palace Theatre 1974”.
The release date will be the 27th of May 2011."

Let's hope that Edgar hasn't been on the phone to Virgin.
