Come to think of it, I like really Edgar's guitar during the opening stages of Thru Metamorphic Rocks. Oh, and Beach Theme as well!

Edgar played it alone in 1988, while both he and Jerome took turns on it in 1990. While Jerome did a great job, you have to admit that he monopolized most of the track (Edgar only had a paltry two minutes or so at the end). "Cries and Whispers" tended to be much better balanced, in my opinion.

My Top 3:

'Creation' - dreamy, beautiful and imaginative.
'Madrigal Meridian' - just when it feels things are beginning to flag a bit, the guitar gives it a real lift.
'Cloudburst Flight' - like all the best TD, wonderfully effective use of technology!

The one he didn't play.
"Den Brüdern trau ich nicht. Den Brüdern trau ich nicht! Kommt alles vom Tonband." (Edgar Froese -- Signale aus der Schwäbischen Straße)

It's brief but I find it very effective: Edgar's guitar solo on "Shop Territory" from the FIRESTARTER soundtrack.

I've gotta give props to Edgar on "Cloudburst Flight". Simply awe-inpspiring. It made my jaw drop when I first heard it and it still does.

Also love "Atomium" from the Tree project, volume 26, Brussels, 1980. It is obviously improvised, but it is so RAW and LOUD and IN YOUR FACE.

"Sun Gate". Simply beautiful.

"Hunter Shot by Yellow Rabbit" - goosebumps every time.

"Song of the Whale: Part I" - hauntingly beautiful.

So many more I could list.
