Josephine The Mouse Singer

Post by la sagesse du destin »

After all the recent productions of the last monthes, it's uncredible to have a new EP with 33 minutes of totally inedit music.
Thanks Edgar for this.

I love the first track, punchy with some voices, a masterpiece in my opinion.
The second and the third track are very melancholic.
The fourth Track is played on the tour in a very emotional sequence with Iris and Hoshiko.
The last track is a reworked Track from Corelli, interesting.

I might be wrong, but my impression, after listening to the EP, is that all songs of the EP are played at the Nijmegen concert.

It seems to me the last song on the EP is in mono sound, at least the sound is very central positioned.
Curious to the impression of anyone else.
It was played as second last in Nijmegen.

A very nice cupdisc, indeed. Stand out highlight for me personally, is track 1 "The Four White Wooden Horses". This track has been on constant rotation, these last days. Love it!

The title track "Josephine The Mouse Singer",was played throughout the memorium for our great friend Tim Pullen at the Shepherds Bush concert. Beautiful track!

The EP at over 32 mins long,is a winner :D 8)
RIP Edgar. I am going to miss you.

I echo your sentiments entirely Colin... another first class work by the band and the title track as you say was both beautifully conceived and performed by the band on Friday, very touching and emotional.

Very good. The Mouse Singer track is so relaxing.

Some info about the Kafka story
"It deals with the relationship between an artist and his audience."

I am more satisfied with the cupdisc than with the Chandra cd. That one doesn't impress me a lot. There is simply happening to little for a nice cd.
For some reason the cupdisc serie is a welcome extension in the collection. Almost every cd is a hit.

Track 5. A tomita-vangelis-wendycarlos esque thrill ride....immensely satisfying track for me.

Great cupdisc :D

Nice cupdisc. Nothing classical and sometimes a bit recycled from (or "inspired by?") The Atomic Seasons and perhaps the previous Chandra II, even with little hints at the Sonic Poem Series, too, but pretty good overall. A. Corelli's La Folia is definitely a killer. Tracks like these showcase TD's talents and skills. In my opinion this track alone made the entire disc. It was a nice touch that it was chosen as the closer. Favorites include Bleeding Angel and of course the opener, FWWH. Not too crazy about tracks 3 and 4, although they're both, as someone said above, pretty relaxing and may I add atmospheric, especially the title track. Conclusion: Another nice trip from E. Froese and company. Keep 'em melancholic, that's the way we like 'em.
