Mike Beecher interviews Chris Franke on the morning of the Dominin gig:

MB-“I’m going to see Ultravox now, at London Weekend television and then tonight my wife is coming up from Southend, to come to the concert and I’ll get some tickets from the door. When will be a good time just to come onstage and take some pictures, at the end quickly before you pull it down”?

CF-“um today it's not good at all, we’re doing two shows”

MB-“I’m coming to the 6 o’clock concert, so maybe”?

CF-“There’s not much to do, the crew is in a terrible condition, they’re sleeping 3 hours a day, and they’re so much in a rush today, it’s better to leave the stage”

MB-“I think we’ll leave that”

one of my alltime favorites and imo the best live album with fantastic chords, melodies, sounds and sequencer lines.

I was 13 - old enough to go there, but my discovery of TD wasn't to take place for another two years

I had just turned 20, but didn't know about the gig. TD's advertising was shoddy back then too!
