It is a very influential album Andy to the older hands amongst us

I think you'll be happy with the 'full' results :)

well over 23,000 words so far...and lots of votes for Rubycon...but it's neck and neck with 1 or 2 other albums

MFD is in my top three favourites along with Summer in Negasaki and Encore. Impossible to place one above the others though.

....'the one album you would save for posterity...'

extracts from BMs 115,000 word poem:

.....' posterity implies death or finality, to history and judgement. To leave an artifact behind with notes on the why, is arrogance and selfishness, which Is why we do so - to ensure the future knows the past. Yes, obvious, but I am not a museum curator or archivist, just a listener and music lover....'

.....'...the record is deeply human, yet terribly Alien, odd, cold and strange. Each listening is for me, epithany : It is the only Tangerine Dream music that is truly magical, conjuring up that point between reality and dreams, sleep and wakefulness. It is true art, a result of purest creation with little or no reference to inherited conventions...'

snappy BM, you really need to add some meat (you know how much TD fans love long words; Digital Gothic anybody? ;))

digital gothic was written in a strangely pointless way, a bit like reading tadream posts, ie we know best, you know nothing, i know the truth, you are deaf etc....utterly ephemeral cobblers, although any booooooook on TD is better than total silence.

here's further snippets from BMs stream of unconsciousness :

....'.....[ removed by the forthcoming publisher, to avoid inevitable plagiarism ].....'

assessing music from tangerine dream is so subjectively subjective as to be pointless....but the bigmoog is going to do so anyway

bm met mr cope once in glasonbury towne around 1993....i won the weirdness competition by at least 200 on exploding teardrop scale, due to bm being fully covered in zeitian wonders.....(ie, my chubby one was better rolled than his weedy rizla)

of course 'krautrock sampler' is immense and quite a good boooooooook

it's full of some of the worst mistakes ever...but... he's so enthuastic that defy anybody to resist his rather weird prose and not want to buy some of the records featured (I couldn't :D).
When Edgar was interviewed on BBC Radio Scotland in 1997, he was killing himself over Julian's comments about Zeit...but I bet his bank balance thanks the guy :)
