On the current 24-day tour they met a Zen master in Los Angeles who said he's been using Tangerine Dream music for the last five years for his meditation and dream classes, and in Montreal they talked with people using their music in their dance studio. "Everybody has space to do his own interpretation," Franke says, and that's what Tangerine Dream's music is all about. It works best when people have time to think about what they're hearing. The sound audiences are hearing is different from what Tangerine Dream produced on the last North American tour 9 years ago, partly thanks to improved technology and also because Franke says "we believe people need change."
