TD concerts in Italy 1976?

Post by Cyclone »

Jacob shows us an advert about concerts (?) in Italy in June 1976 - the first concert would have been two days after Brighton, The Dome.
I didn't kow these dates. Somebody knows whether there were these concerts or that tour was cancelled?

I have them all listed as cancelled (although that's just because I haven't found any evidence that anyone went to them...so far). 1976 seems to have quite a few of these 'ghost gigs'. Several years back TD's manager told me about several (one was in Belgium) but even checking against his diary he still couldn't remember if they happened or not.

the Virgin Promo for Stratosfear (which has an a month by month break down of what TD doing 1967-1977 doesn't list any Italian gigs)

I'm off to research one or two mystery gigs from 1968 ;)

Nice poster.

Also a nice program from the Inferno gig at Castle Niddegen.

Who are John Malcolm and Barry Thompson credited with keyboards?
Support group? Roadies? Keyboard musicians? Are they on the DVD and I've not noticed?

the Virgin press pack from 1978 (that also has a month by month break down of all things Tangy) also doesn't list any Italian gigs in 1976

Brilliant. Thanks Andy.

OK I was wrong. It was November. To be honest it's lucky I can even remember the year.

Is this the best (and only) site for a TD live chronology?

It's the only online one that I know of. I've been working on a corrected one for a number of years (it's certainly not perfect) that the band have access to (should they ever need it)

Try http://pagesperso-orange.fr/paul.fellow ... dates.html

I guess the former link is copied from this link which is also updated to 2008.
