The equipment list (fully updated with the latest research; guesswork and conspiracy theories):

Should be updated again soon....perhaps with some photos

ps. Only just started on TD's modern kit list :)

Well, it is time that we have a real biography of TD. So, Edgar please write a bit quicker. :)

Lots of work gone into that Andy. Thanks for sharing.

Is my memory going or did TD have a mainframe computer on stage in 1980? I seem to remember something that looked like an IBM mainframe with an integral keyboard, like one we had at work at the time, that was sat behind Edgar's keyboards.

it was part of Edgar's PPG setup (340A & 340B + 380 units) custom built with two VDUs including the Event-Generator (Sequencer)

As 'used' (ho-ho!) on the Sobornost TV clip...see youtube

http://the-archive-plus.blogspot.com/20 ... st-tv.html (A couple of stills from the clip..note the imfamous Helmut Grothe sequencer behind Edgar, which he and Johannes used during TD's 1981 and 1982 tours...later to be; in Edgar's own words, 'recyled')

this was used throughout the 1980 European tour but was later sold off

Ahhh right. Thanks Andy. Didn't realise it was part of the PPG.

No problem Chris. Obviously it's only 'work in progress' & nothing can ever be complete...however I'm slightly surprised that nobody else has ever tried to compile a list from scratch themselves
