Post by Pergamon_PB »

Thought you guys might want to see although not very good quality. I remember it being difficult to take any recording/camera equipment into venues. Got searched most of the time!!!

Nice keepsakes. One should be able to reverse the time.

... I wonder how much forgotten private pictures (/recordings) lie in any drawers.

Only a few, I wish there were more. A friend at the time took lots more but lost touch with him years ago!

Couldn't use flash, or the security/bouncers would pick you out straight away. He also had a small professional Sony recording machine possibly now one of the bootlegs going around. Of course I had nothing to do with this..honest!

Very nice photos Phil, reminds of the some of the shots that appeared in the Spanish press (also in 1980):

Franke with his Moog drum units again?

Excellent! Are these spanish photos available to look at anywhere?

Also, is there a place in the forum where others have made there own photos available to view?

There isn't anywhere on the forum Phil. I have official and unofficial photos of 'almost' every TD tour (sadly I can't post them here, as I don't own the copyright...bar the ones I took). If you're interested in a particular year give me a shout and I'll pm you some shots

Yes, I'd love to see some of them! Any from '77 to '85 would be of interest. I suppose '78 is close to my heart as you know, this was the first time I saw them in concert. Only got a program then. Splashed out a bit more on 80/81 tour and bought a few badges which I've still got but sadly lost my teeshirt, sweatshirt and massive concert promo poster!!!

By the way, how do you include a photo in the post? Does it need to be of a certain size/pixel??

Use Photobucket...copy and paste from the drop down menu...the last option.

I'd advize that you don't put mega-large photos up...but some people do :D
