No. It was just he, his guitar and a few pedals. I recall him stating at one point, "I'm Andy Summers, and this (pointing to TD equipment behind him) is my equipment." It got quite a few laughs at the time.

I met him a few years later and had to remind him that he opened for TD in '88, to which he replied: "Oh, yeah. Those guys were weird."

If this is right I wonder if they really played at Ohio Theater the night before, or if existing lists have this wrong as well?.

A really nice looking theatre:

I guess you can't argue with the data on a ticket...however, I'm thinking perhaps one of those venues were added as a last minute and perhaps there were two shows (aft./eve) on the same day. According to the map, it's only about 90-100 miles between Columbus and Pittsburg (about a 1.5 hour drive, straight highway).

I guess all you need to do is find a Pittsburgh stub.

And don't forget that same tour had Sommerville, Mass. on it, while that particular stop wasn't mentioned on all the adverts/t-shirts.

Perhaps it was an ever-evolving tour....

I wonder if date was changed but tickets were said to be still correct for the new date of show? :)

Strange that the ticket says "TD with special guest Andy Summers", like he should be a part of the band.

LOL, so he thought Edgar, Paul and Ralf were weird? I remember a picture of Summers and TD where Summers looked very misarable.

Hi Beaubourg,

I am a big Andy Summers fan ! I always wanted to know how it was when he toured with TD. Do he play with them ? Frienship was developped between Edgar and Andy ?

I don't know what he meant when he said that TD was "weird" because he is, also, a weird guy (in a funny way). He don't take himself to seriously. Very deadpan sense of humour. By the way, his last studio effort was good "Earth & Sky". The tracks "Above the world" and "Earth & Sky" are great rock/jazz fusion.
