Pledge campaign: Coventry Cathedral Live DVD deluxe box

Post by Insvims »

Can anyone shed some light upon this Pledge campaign? I consider pre-order the box set (regular DVD also available). Is this fully official, and something to look forward to? I have not heard that much about this so far. What do you think? Seems like a very interesting project.

:? The only one I have heard of is it possibly being on a Blu-ray disc with 5:1 sound as part of the 18disc re-mastering set by Steve Wilson, called 'In Search of Hades - The Virgin Years'. Have not heard of this one on Pledge, so will have to investigate to see if it is genuine.

Apparently, this is NOT genuine !
Read this discussion (from "The Zest" Facebook page) :

So we must wait for the big boxset, coming in April / May…

It is on pre-order from Burning Shed, so I guess it is official:

PS. I am not on FB so I cannot see what the discussion in The Zest group says.

Some people on "The Zest" are very well informed.
If they say it's a ripoff (and TD members have nothing to do with it), I don't want to spend any money on this thing…

OK, let's hope Burning Shed (which is a great web store) will know this. I am planning on buying the big box from Steven Wilson anyway. Strange thing is that Burning Shed is the official shop for Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson, as well as a lot of other prog and electronica related music. So it seems unlikely they would sell unofficial products. Especially since Steven Wilson is working on the big TD box. Well, we'll see...

I would advise attempting to order anything from pledge music (if you still can) - they are in trouble and not paying artists hence non receipt of goods and a significant amount of grief.
I am awaiting a refund for an item that was supposed to be fulfilled in December - they're not being upfront as to when the refund will be credited back either
