Dear Friends,
Thanks for the immense flood of birthday greetings which hit my mailbox and did reach me through various channels of social networks. I was very touched by the words many of you came up with. Honestly it’s a good feeling having served, together with some great colleagues, the unlimited ocean of sounds and musical structures for more than 45 years, knowing that on the other end of the bridge people got a sound tool to work with through their good and bad times in life. Finally that’s what art is all about, giving the great desire in each person’s life a mode of expression. As always pointed out, these lines are written by someone who just acts as a servant of the universal language called music. It’s not about me, it’s about the exploration of our individual way getting closer to THE goal in one’s life. So, the music can’t do anything for you but could in its best moments be a companion when things getting wrong or even disastrous for you. As a composer I’m traveling in the same train like you, expressing my joy and disaster through the same sounds you will be later confronted with. That is a conversation on a higher level, even if we don’t know each other. Who is the creator, who is the listener? Things are merging and melting to one huge experience – and that thing called LIFE. Thanks to all of you for giving me the chance sharing my experiences together with you.

Dear Edgar - Thanks for the message and I hope you had a great day with all those close to you. Loved your show on 23rd May in London and do hope that we have the chance to meet you again in a one-off show perhaps in the near future.
