<<<<<"No one else but me thinking that a band can be a concept?>>>>

Like Jefferson Starship with no original members playing in a casino? Like 10 separate groups called The Platters going at the same time? Perhaps concepts end quickly once the conceiver is gone.

It seems as if people loose touch with reality a bit as soon as they have reached a certain degree of wealth.

Depending on your definition of "reality"... THAT is the real question. Every person has a different perception of it...

I'm on low income, and my interpretation of reality is not far away from Baumann's... :)

You're telling me you don't know ?

He talks a similar sort of (non)sense that Edgar sometimes did :)
Indeed.

Hi,

i was thinking about this for over an hour ... and how TD would not need some of these folks to come back to them and do things ... with one exception. Someone like Peter is likely to know better, the ideas and thoughts that help bring about the original thing ... he was there! ... and helped develop the "noise" that became a sweet sound ... and in many ways, that thought is probably what was happening, since to be able to create something, it would be good to start ... at the beginning, instead of just recreating some more "theme" music until such a time as they have created something solid to work with an on to present to the public.

Makes for an interesting idea ...

Can you imagine that i never read this post, except this morning !!!

Wow, what a news....

At the same time, it is a little bit unreal. I am very surprise and very intricate to see how it will evolve.
On the other hand, it feel a little like a bad episode of a Soap Opera TV show where a guy that you never saw for over 30 years is back !! ;-))
I joke a little, of course.
There also another thing, for thoses of you who make music. You know that making music is not easy. That when you stop making music for a long time, it is tough to be back at the same level that you where a couple of years before. Also, if you have to make music with other people, "magic" is not necessary automatic.
So i hope that everything will turn right (i'm sure!!).

I Wait for the next episode...

Laughing at your soap opera metaphor, that's too funny

And yes, we expect, or hope for, miracles, the chemistry and magic between artists to be there instantly, at all times. A recapture of past glories, or something new, or a little of both...I wonder what Edgar Froese and Peter Baumann conjured up? At least we know there is not a team of young screenwriters trying to shock us with a new twist in the latest episode. And now why am I thinking of that Chris Franke track Haleakala, which sounds like the theme to Sunset Beach? The show, and the track, are a guilty pleasure. Sorry I'm rambling. I clearly have too much time on my hands this morning

The creator has a master tape, but it can only be a fiendish plan of that old copycat, the demiurge, to make us suffer reality in 16/44...
If true, that explains a lot!

I'm not sure this is true. For someone who is "creative" inside, and it all comes out of the inner movie (as it does for me, music is a continuous movie, as is the scenario that a book creates for me, and a painting!) ... it doesn't matter what the thread is, or where you are.

If 20 years went by and I now write short stories and some novels, it doesn't mean I lost the ability to write, it simply means that poetry is not as important to me today as the descriptive writing is, but it is as surrealistic and psychedelic as it ever was!

Will Peter's presence make a difference? It might if he is up to snuff on the equipment and the other folks in TD ... it probably will be bad collusion, if he is not open minded to work with them, which is the bigger danger I see.
