Silver Siren Collection

Post by Jon »

This is CD 3 on the Electronic Journey 10-CD set. Mostly good tracks in the energetic style on it IMO, far better than Starbound Collection which is disc 2 on the set.

A quite peculiar disc, with 2 tracks from Le Parc, 5 from What A Blast, plus 3 from I-Box - Longing For Cashba, Akash Deep and Storm Seekers. Does anyone know when Akash Deep and Storm Seekers were written? I had not heard this version of Longing For Cashba (including saxophone), only the live version on East. Wasn't this version released until 2000?

Other opinions on Silver Siren Collection?

According to Voices in the Net, Akash Deep is from 1986 and Storm seekers probably from 2000.

Thanks, didn't know VITN was that detalied!

So Akash Deep is from 1986 - then my initial thoughts were correct, I felt it had an Underwater Sunlight-feel.

It's a good compilation but I prefer Independant Years and Tangerine Scales.
