At the same time she would like to ask some fans who shot nice pics from Edgar and the band - especially during the 70ies and 80ies - if they would be prepared to make them available for the book, of course those fans would be credited in the book in case we would use their pics. Please just send a mail to
eastgate-book@gmx.com - many thanks in advance for your support.
Sadly, this tells me that there are huge passages of time that are not written, or clear, and need to rely on "history" and anyone that can help bring that history alive through pictures or what not.
There are several interviews, all over the place, that really should be used, and worked on and with, to help achieve this ... I'm not sure that fans alone will help this come off the ground. The trees do get thick, old and soundly embedded in the earth. BUT a nice chapter on Lazerium and the burning bushes ... would be very nice and trippy, unless folks have no idea what we're saying! (Hint ... it's on the album in pictures!!!)
On the other hand, there are some folks, in the West Coast, like Archie Patterson (Eurock), that probably has more on Tangerine Dream than anyone else. He also had interviews and access to folks like Klaus Schulze and Manuel Gottsching, going so far back, that I think I wasn't even awake at the time! Guy Guden of Space Pirate Radio days, also had an interview with Edgar, which should be of interest, since Guy was the ultimate interviewer to interview people, specially when they were top notch artists. Edgar even did a promo for Guy and his show.
