The Man Inside Soundtrack. Good or bad?

Post by razor »

I just got my hands on a sealed/new CD of this soundtrack, and I find it to be a great listening experience, it really is a great soundtrack and captivates the mood from the film quite good. But I do wonder what everybody else thinks of this album?

How good is it compared to other TD soundtracks? :)

I really like it too - play it from time to time. I only have it on a tape dub unfortunately, I traded my CD away years ago. I interviewed Paul Haslinger a few years ago, and he said that he did NOT find the project very inspiring, musically or creativally. TD wrote the score at different steps over a long period of time.

Certainly not a bad album but nothing brilliant either...... IMHO typical of the EF PH sound of that era....... "Correlation of Lies" is my personal favorite.
RIP Edgar. I am going to miss you.

I like it but it's not their best soundtrack. I've never had a chance to see the movie.

There are a couple of very good tracks here...

I was confused when I first heard the album as it came out during a period I consider to be close to the the band's nadir... ...and some of the tracks were a breath of fresh air.

For anyone who has trouble with this era, I would heartily recommend the CD. I'm not sure it's worth what it fetches, but it is a great example of their 'Melrose Years' style with some added 'Zzing'.

I've never seen the movie, but I rather like the soundtrack music. I particularly like the melancholy tone of the final track, "News and Morality." I have the CD here in my office, and I listen to it every now and again. But not lately.

I listened to TMI last week and theres one track(can't remember the title) which was absolutely stunning. I must be honest and say I've neglected this soundtrack and it is in fact very good.
