Tangerine Dream

Post by Pertou »

I got acquainted with TD in Autumn 2002, since 2005 all my spare time and allowance money has been spent on this wonderful German band.

TD rocks!

1980/81, at a friend's house, Pink Floyd poster on the wall, an old Grundig amplifier with crackling volume knob, cherry-flavoured japanese green tea, Alpha Centauri, Rubycon, Stratosfear LPs ... :) I've never stopped listening to TD since that time.

been aware of them since 1974, (phaedra been played late at night as i slept as a child). First real listen was Sorcerer, then it was Poland in early 83 that did it! (that did take a long time but good things and all that....).
Bought everything since, including stuff they havent done! :-) :-)

1983 for me, 25 years ago  ...still remember picking up a vinyl copy of Hyperborea in WHSmith (yes, you read right!!) and thinking this must be their new album. I got Poland for Christmas 1984, and remember settling down to listen to it on the headphones that morning and being blown away. It was then I realised that followiing them was going to be a lifelong affair!

In 1989 I heard Tangerine Dream for the first time, it was Crystal Curfew from Lily on the Beach. So I went to a record store and bought their only available TD album, Phaedra.

What a difference!
