Das Romantische Opfer

Post by la sagesse du destin »

It' s awonderful EP (or mini-cupdisc) with a track from Edgar from 14 minutes and 26 seconds. As you know the tittle has a relationship with the Loreley, and the cover too. In the back we can read the famous poem from Heinrich Heine about the Loreley.
It's a very various track with beautiful sequences in the beginnig ,with slow moments and a nice guitar solo for the final. It's all that we like with TD.
My first listening was this morning at 2 o clock when I go back from the Loreley,a nice moment after a great show.

Charles
Infinite thanks to all the peoples from Eastgate and TD for the Japan Raffle.

"Bells of Accra" is 14 minutes and 27 seconds. If that's kind of a countdown, let's better start saving money for EPs now ... ;)

Regarding the title. Found this on wikipedia:

"...
One of the legends is that Loreley, a beautiful young maiden, committed suicide because of an unfaithful lover. She jumped from the steep rock into the Rhine River, thus killing herself. She then became a siren, luring shipmen to their fates with her hypnotizing voice. The echoing heard today is said to be Loreley."

Rateyourmusic has the complete track title for "Das romantische Opfer": "Das musikalische Opfer - Metromadrigal für das Nutzlose aller Zeiten". Translated that'd be something like "The musical offering - metromadrigal for the futility of all time".
I hope the music doesn't sound as depressing as the track title...

Thanks for the mini-review Charles. I'm now eagerly waiting to place my order. Sounds like another great track. Booster 2 will be coming pretty quickly at this rate.

If I was 100% sure there would be a booster 2 I'd wait rather than buy the EP.
