Post by GAZZ »

so thought i'd start this one off. i've got a copy of this and to be honest if your an old dreamer or a new one this for me has just gotta be in your collection as it includes the 12" versions that td have released + a boat load of rarities. i would'nt be without it but how rare is it these days

I've got it as well (think I got it in '97 or '98), and frankly have only seen a copy offered once on eBay (but I don't know what it went for). Nice collection indeed.

There was a TD-chat room thing a good few years back where either EF or JF said they were less than happy about Electronic Orgy.

Edgar needs to collect this stuff onto his own compilation CD(s). From what I heard of it several years ago, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

It must be one of THE rarest boots by TD. I've never seen it turn up on fleabay or at any of the fairs I attend. I do have Traumzeit which has a lot of tracks from Electronic Orgy...If anyone has a copy to sell name your price and I'll consult the missus..

Can understand why he isn't to fond of it. But he always can release a lot of the stuff on his (TD) records.
have it also, by the way. :D

I find the term 'Rare Bootleg' quite amusing , for something that shouldn't exist !

Much of it has subsequently made on to TD CDs (as I'm sure you already know - sorry) and , of course, some of it isn't TD. Slowly over time more of it is appearing.

There's an interesting couple of paragraphs on EO on Voices in the Net. Looks as if it was a bit of a turning point for TD with regard to bootlegging.

I think the 'turning point' was that it was about £85 to buy brand new, was totally illegal, had a vaguely pornographic cover...oh and was being sold openly by one or two online stores. Naughty

That's why the tree project was so successful as it almost killed off the
TD bootlegs and the £85 price tags
As it was run by fans for fans with no profiteering involved

I for one miss it but i also understand that it was a victim of its own success as the same gits were ripping off the discs and selling them.
