i have heard about a release called "the melrose years" I believe its an official release and has remixes from this period of their career. i have never seen it anywhere, so my 2 questions about this are : does it excist and how remixed is it,oh and whats on it :roll: :roll:

Its a 3cd set which includes Optical Race,Lily on The Beach and Melrose..the albums have been re-recorded and sound quality is very good. Limited to 1000 sets first 300 signed 8)

Yes it exists - albiet in a limited run !

It contains Lily on the Beach , Optical Race & Melrose as rerecorded versions.

A Very nice set 8)

Don't rate it, I'd go for the original releases wherever possible

cheers guys for helping me on this one,needless to say if theres only 1000 copies about i've no chance in getting one , i'll keep watching e-bay who knows i might get it and arizona for a tenner [sorry just dreamin again ] :roll: :roll:

Quite like the Melrose Years myself. They don't sound quite so sterile as the originals to me.

I recently saw The Melrose Years offered by a german electronic mail order for 39 Euros. I will look at home and give you the link.
Btw I rate the Melrose Years 5/5 - great reworks and good compagnions to the original releases.

It is a pitty that there are only 1000. I myself like that period the best!
Still I am listening a lot to this particular 3 albums with Paul into it.

This set rarely shows up on e bay...I've only seen two show in the last few years. I still prefer the originals but the best of the sets & most different has to be Optical Race .
