You know, back then in the mid 70's when I was enjoying the adventure of tracking down EM and krautrock, I always thought KS was a TD copyist, the cover art and the sounds....I used to think it was all derivative-just another electronic musician (I wonder what I would have thought if I had come to TD later or had not heard KS in AshraTempel....)...but, as I grew (and grew up...) to love early/mid period KS, my views changed. To me, the years of music from KS is more variable in overall inspiration than TD and since the late 80's far less interesting to me, but in the early days was probably 'more at the edge', Irrlicht is an example here. Retrospectively, Klaus has produced many beautifully realised albums and in my opinion is one of the true travellers in electronic music.
