Can’t explain it at all. May be it was because I was tired (not likely since I loved the set played by Dave Gilmour later in the night) or because it was a truncated set, I’m sure the original concert wasn’t 60 minutes long.

Good performance and the show was impressive. Agree though I began to loose interest after Firth of Firth?/ know what you want. They must have played more of the older stuff at the gig surely and the TV highlights were "The Hits"

PS Recorded Dave Gilmour, aint seen it yet, should be good.

He has tended to come across as an arrogant ahole frequently and I have never been that keen on his personality.

However was pleasantly surprised when I saw that BBC interview last week. He seemed a decent Funny bloke. Also noticed in one of our papers up here that he got some music award recently and was very humble and poking fun at himself. Thats more like it.

Talented man.

I watched the 'When in Rome' dvd last night and although a flawless performance I wish they had done a lot more older songs. Not from the PG years but something from Wind & Wuthering and a couple more from Trick of the Tail. Still a good dvd though just short of 2 and a half hours.

Seconds Out is my favourite Genesis even with Mr Collins. I do like Then there were three and Duke, after that I think they definitely sold out to commercialism. Those live way we walk albums were c.rap.

They were interviewed on the BBC breakfast show last week and were hinting that they would possibly be interested in touring with Peter Gabriel doing Lamb Lies Down   Blimey.
The Lamb Lies Down and Seconds Out are great albums. I'd happily pay huge sums of money to see a Gabriel lead Genesis do Lamb or a Seconds Out type set. I'd also love to see Hackett back with the band.

Reading through the hallowed pages of Classic Rock the other night and I noticed a small article in the News section saying that Mr Collins has told The Times (so it must be true  ) that he won't tour or record ever again.

Phil Collins has had a fair lot of slagging off from many sources. I like the guys music. He has a unique voice and style . His drumming is superb & He sang on THE greatest Genesis record 'Wind & Wuthering'. The Gabriel era of the band was of course very speciall too . But. I like the way they progressed into a really good pop/rock crossoover band and there isn't an album in the bands whole career that I don't enjoy, even Calling All Stations which at the time was and still is a great record.

Mixed signals then Chris :?

The implication on that BBC interview was that they might consider recording something and would possibly, maybe, consider working on a Lamb tour.

I think Mr Collins enjoys the limelight tbh

Collins is a talented man, no doubt about it Sparrow. After Duke though the band became pants. That way we walk live stuff especially. IMHO obviously  There is some good stuff on Calling all Stations surprisingly. The guy from Stiltskin on lead vocals right enough
