Transsiberia - Been thinking about checking this one out again for ages , so it's on today . One of the discs in that 10 CD box that was an absolute bargain . Wonder what the film for this was like.

Next up will be Tangines Scales from the same box set.

PS a post in the music topic

Sounds unlikely Jon, very obscure film if it even exists anywhere. Would have been interesting.

VITN - "In summer 1997 Edgar and Jerome Froese started for a "strange musical and geographical trip" in composing the score for Transsiberia, an experimental black-and-white film about a journey on the famous Transsiberian Railway from Moscow to Vladivostok. It is unknown whether this film was ever released officially."

There is some good stuff on the CD. Quite train like in bits  I will listen to it again this week. Tangines Scales was an enjoyable listen also. Hardly ever listened to these discs but enjoyed them.

This weeks rarely listened to TD album:

Lilly On The Beach LP . Played a couple of times and again really enjoyed it. This is certainly not my favourite era of TD music however I am wondering now if I am at the stage that I like all TD's output.

I may stick on Rockoon and Tyranny Of Beauty this weekend to check out this theory :P

The Fires of Ork/The Fires of Ork 2

Re-visiting these great albums from Pete Namlook and Geir Jenssen aka Biosphere. The original FAX label CDs are very hard to find these days (and expensive), but fortunately they were re-released digitally a few years back. I bought them from Bandcamp. Recommended music for listeners of alternative ambient and experimental music. The music is moody and strange at the same time.

TD - Melrose

Now this is not my favourite era of TD, however listening this on LP at the moment. Some great TD music and tunes. Sound quality is excellent on vinyl.
