40 years since Abbey Road cover shot.

Must say I am happy to see this celebrated. Been there myself in 1978 to have a photo of me on the crossing. :D

As a kid this was just about the best record I could ever imagine ...it seemed to have some special magic about it

That would make an interesting album cover.

Saw all the hoopla on our news last night. Couldn't believe the size of the crowd. 8)

I often pass there on my way to the M1 motorway, and I have SO nearly mown down tourists on so many occasions. I'm surprised they decide to argue with a two tonne Land Rover with a winch bumper!

I heard on the news this morning that they might do away with the crossing at Abbey Road as there are too many accidents...

I read once (and I'm sure I was told years ago on a trip down that road over the crossing) that the crossing was moved from the original location, so it isn't the same as 1969......

Having played this the other night, this might be my favourite Beatles album..............although I do like my Beatles Red on vinyl

Revolver is my favourite but Abbey Road is certainly my sentimental favourite. That cover is the classic cover of all time IMO.
