Ulrich Schnauss & Jonas Munk - Full album preview

Post by alexbk »

Pedigree Cuts has posted the full album by Ulrich and Jonas Munk (Manual) online (streaming only, no download).

Go to http://blog.pedigreecuts.com, and select the album cover (Ulrich Schnauss & Jonas Munk - PED A010) in the header of the page. More info at http://blog.pedigreecuts.com/?p=602

Of particular interest to TD fans would be "Sonnenblumenstrahl" but my personal favorite is "Sirocco", a swirling, epic uplifter reminiscent of "Private Psychedelic Reel" by Chemical Brothers.

A few tracks towards the end could be easily cut - otherwise a perfectly viable, if a bit unpolished, album :)

Another track written by Kirsty Hawkshaw and produced by Ulrich Schnauss.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSo65z8mDDQ
It should shortly be available on a three-track EP by Ulrich & Kirsty called "Two trees" - the full album is also coming later this year.

'Two trees' EP by Ulrich & Kirsty is now available for purchase.

Hemp paper, Kirsty's signature and all, the price is still rather steep. For me it amounted to 16 euros including shipping - for just three songs.

This is the movie that Ulrich (with his bandmate Mark Peters) wrote the score for:

Yes but seeing as it is limited to 100 copies only I guess it will escalate in value in years to come... :)

"Engineers, one of our favourite new purveyors of shoegaze, have announced the release of their third album.
It’ll be called In Praise of More and will be released on 4th October via Kscope.
...
joining Mark and singer Simon Phipps are new drummer Matthew Linley, bassist Daniel Land and – most significantly – keyboardist (and German-born electronica genius) Ulrich Schnauss.
Yes, you heard that right – Ulrich Schnauss."

According to imdb.com, this film was scored by a guy called Vivek Maddala, not Schnauss.
